Atrion will be celebrating his 2nd birthday tomorrow. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. His Grammy and Bompa sent him a $30.00 gift card and so today I took him to buy a couple of presents with it. He chose very wisely too. We wandered up and down the aisles and he tested out a few toys to make sure they were worthy of purchase. The first one that he chose was a carefully considered hot wheels car for a buck. The next toy was a actually a Walle book, which sounds like "why" in Atrion tongue. Then he picked up an Elmo toy, but put that back (aka threw it)when he saw the LeapFrog laptop. Which is interesting because he bypassed the older kid toy and went straight for the 2-4 age group. I might be playing it fast and loose with the word interesting, but I think it's interesting. :)
After that, I stopped in the party aisle to get some balloons and he saw the "Cars" cup for $.88 so that got thrown in the cart as well. In the candy aisle, he wanted to get some juji fruit but I had to step in because those are way too chewy for him. We traded for some jolly rancher gummies instead. His total purchase was $30.33. I was amazed at how close he was able to get to his limit.
By the time we got home he had forgotten about all his goodies in the trunk and so I was able to sneak them inside to be wrapped for his party.
Atrion also got to talk to his Grammy today and was so happy to hear her voice that he tried to hug the fun. He also said he loved her and told her about Bob and Larry Boy for a minute. Thanks so much for the gift, Grammy and Bompa. Atrion and I had a wonderful time picking out his presents.
