Einen schönen Tag allerseits!

Today was a good day. I like those kinds of days. I would take them over a bad day any day.
The reason it was a good day is because, first off, I awoke at 8:30 (an hour and a half longer than I normally get to sleep)because Atrion had crawled in bed with us at around 4 in the morning and he decided to sleep in because I guess our bed is soo comfy. Which it is. His would be too if he didn't insist on having every single toy in bed with him.
So I woke up with more energy than I have had since last September, if I remember right. I got me and the boy dressed and we headed to Home Depot to buy some wood to finish my last chair. The seat of the chair split so it must be replaced. I asked the friendly Home Depotians if they could please cut the wood for me and they said "No. Nice try though." So I bought a power saw. And goggles- safety first!
Then I got distracted by all the flowers and gardening supplies so Atrion and I picked out some nice annuals and a few veggies and some soil and headed back home.
It took awhile and I don't have a "before" shot but man, it looks a lot better. I have no idea how to garden so that plants stay alive, but for the moment its nice and I feel like I accomplished something.

Atrion had fun playing in the dirt and helping me bury stuff. I feel bad though because I got frustrated when he stepped on the flowers I just planted and uncovered the seeds I sowed. But the whole point of doing this was to teach him about it and I think I failed. I hate when I do that. He has been so fun and sweet lately and I feel bad that he gets so bored. So when I went to Walgreens to pick up some eye drops for Cody (allergies are horrible)I let Atrion pick out a treat. He chose this balloon that he saw the moment we walked in.

He played with Dora all of 5 minutes when we got home and now she sort of lurks in the back room and startles the crud out of me whenever I go back there.

Another great thing has been this website. It's plantoeat.com and it is Ah-Mazing! It costs like $5.00 a month but there is a 30 day free trial. I have planned this whole weeks meals out and imported a ton of recipes from pinterest. The webiste pulled all the ingredients out of the recipes and made a grocery list for me. I deleted the items I have on hand and printed it out. It was the easiest shopping experience ever. I knew all the things I that I was purchasing were for meals used this week and it made a big difference. I didn't add extra crap into the cart that we weren't going to need. I love it. If I can use it for two more weeks then I am definitely purchasing it for a whole year to get the discount.

I made this dinner tonight from a recipe I found on pinterest. It's garlic lemon chicken on a bed of wheat pasta and vegetables. It's yummier than it sounds.

I've also been getting my craft on. I am the activities assistant to the 2nd counselor in relief society. So I am planning a craft night for next Wednesday. We are making these temple blocks and the tutorial can be found here. I photoshopped "Familes are Forever" onto the Salt Lake picture provided by the website. There is not a copyright and they provided the pictures for that reason so don't worry. :)I had a lot of fun doing the craft and I hope all the other ladies like it to. I also had fun with the invitations.

And that's the haps. For now. Stay Classy blog world.
