A Nice Day

Today was a wonderful day! It was overcast, rainy, and slightly cooler than normal. The humidity made it feel a little sticky, but we still went out for a jaunt in the park. This picture is why I love the south.

It is so luscious and green and beautiful! You would have to drive many, many miles in idaho to get to a place that was this forested. We drove 2 minutes. It's a cute little park that sits behind the Walmart and has a fitness trail and a lot of fun shapes and colors that keeps Atrion interested and excited to keep walking.

This is Atrion's little ritual whenever we go anywhere. He HAS to have his blanket, his bink, his sippie, a book, and Bob the tomato. I think in this picture we managed to escape without Bob. He then gets all buckled in and no matter how hot it is, he drapes the blanket over himself, immediately throws the sippy cup on the floor and then relaxes while the rest of us get settled. I think he is adorable.

These are some shots I got from the park. Some are blurry and his hair needs trimmed, but he is just so precious. I love him so much.

We have kept our little "Family Movie Night" tradition. We watched "The Princess Bride" today. Atrion's favorite movie that he watches over and over again is Veggietales Live Silly Songs. He can sit through other movies for about 25 minutes at the most, and then he tries to put his dvd in. We have now only two working veggietales videos because he scratched the others up so bad. I have to hide them from him now. In this picture he has his DVD case, a cup of blueberries for his snack, and lots of comfy pillows to lay on. It's so nice to snuggle up as a family. I think these pictures are from when we watched "Wall-e" actually. He watched that whole movie and really likes Walle.

You guys are the best little family!

We were only there long enough to walk the fitness trail. Atrion isn't interested in the toys at all, he likes to explore. I wouldn't want to invite you, and then tell you that we had to go get Cody's eyes checked. :) We should plan to go sometime while it is still slightly cool.

So... I was going through a bag of toys from when I was younger and came across a stuffed/beanie Larry the Cucumber and Larryboy. They're both in excellent condition. Would a certain little boy enjoy those?
