Since I moved to the South, I have had WeatherBug constantly updating me on all things weather related. This stems from a deep fear of tornadoes and lightning storms. I used to be embarrassed that I was scared of storms, but it's true. I am scared of storms, bugs, sharks, the dark, and gross drains. Actually, the drains don't even have to be gross, but it is assumed that since it is a drain, it is gross because the stuff that usually goes down drains is unwanted and...gross.
what was I talking about? Oh yeah...weatherbug.
So, the past few days, it has been sunny, hot, and humid. Not even a wisp of wind. This is good for the tornado and storm area, but apparently down here there is something called a "Code Orange Ozone Forecast". This happens when it is hot, sunny, and no wind. It causes the pollution to heat up (from the Memphis area I presume) and makes "bad" ozone so we are warned to not go outside, especially if we have small children who might be prone to asthma. We also are warned from doing anything involving outdoors activities such as driving too much in the heat without proper air filtration, painting (since the fumes add to the ozone), and any exercise or exertion activities. The side effects can cause a sore throat and irritated lungs. By the way, I woke up with a sore throat.

So basically, the reason I am writing this is because I was planning on driving to the trailer and finishing up the painting but that is out of the question. The other reason is because I wanted to ask WHY DO PEOPLE LIVE HERE?

hahaha I often wonder the same thing too. Especially in the miserable summer when I am nothing but sticky. It will grow on you a bit though if you are here long enough...maybe?

Oh...and you can totally drive to the trailer and paint...if you have air in the trailer you will be just fine. We will have code orange all through the summer and you will never get it done if you base it off of that.
