Adhesiveness; ability of two objects to stick to each other

Moms are notorious for feeling guilty. If they work away from home, they feel guilty about not spending time with their kids. If they stay at home, they worry they aren't doing enough "quality" activities with their kids. If they work part time then it's just a roller coaster between the two types of guilt. Currently, I stay at home with Atrion. Although, the term "stay at home" is incredibly false since we are out and about all the time. I try to do stuff with Atrion that gets him out of the house. We don't know anyone with kids Atrion's age that want to do stuff with us. Maybe we smell. I don't know. It's usually just me and him, or me and him and Cody. He seems content, so I should probably stop worrying that he is not going to know how to interact with kids his own age. He is absolutely, unequivocally the sweetest child alive. Snuggles and kisses from Atrion are pure bliss. Can someone tell me how to get him to stop growing up? I am going to miss those snuggles and kisses when he decides he is too cool for his mama. In the meantime, I will continue to be his best friend and do stuff like we did these last two weeks.

Shelby Farms is great. It's a great, big park with lots of wide open grassy fields, lakes, nature trails, and picnic areas. There is a kids play area that is pretty amazing. It's free and a little bit of a drive, but their aren't near enough clean parks in Memphis, so we go about once a week. They have 4 areas that kids can play in. There is a sand pit, a huge tube slide, 4 slides built into a pit that was made out of recycled sneakers, swings, and a climbing net thing. Atrion loves the slides. He swings for a bit, but the slides are his favorite. The good thing is that he doesn't have to climb up high because they are built in to the ground so I am not afraid of him falling.

Me and my boy. I look tired.

Atrion insisted on putting his shoe on himself. I think he did a pretty great job. :)

The Children's Museum of Memphis is good for a rainy or super cold day. It was too cold to go to Shelby Farms a week or two ago, so I paid the monies to get in to the museum. Atrion had fun. He loved the little grocery store where he could pick out what to buy. He loves vegetables (not to eat, but to play with) because of Veggietales so he spent most of his time in the produce section. He also loved the big fish hanging from the ceiling and the big airplane.

I let him pick out a toy from the gift shop and he picked out this dinosaur gripper guy. He walked around for days with it doing a really hilarious roar. I wish I could imitate it through text, but it can't be done. It was sort of like a "hawkccht". But very gravelly. I love it.

If there was one activity Atrion would do all day, every day it would be to play with play doh. He says it "May-oh". He can say "play" and he can say "dough", but he can't say play-doh.

My masterpieces.

Atrion loves to read too. This book is one illustrated by Greg Olsen, "I Am Special". Atrion loves it.

Today, we took Atrion to the movies for the very first time. We saw Beauty and the Beast. There was a 6 minute short from Tangled at the beginning that was hilarious! Totally worth the trip. Atrion got a little kids pack with popcorn, soda, and teddy grahams and he made it through the whole thing! He sat on Cody's lap most of the movie because the chair kept folding him up in it. It was cute. He almost didn't make it through, but I pulled out a sucker for the last 15 minutes and he was good to go.

After the movie, we stopped by Muddy's Bakery and got some cupcakes. Two grasshopper, one "Pucker up" which is lemon flavored, and one neopolitan. They were yummy!

I love my son more than anything in this entire world. I love my husband for being such an amazing dad to him (and he's also pretty amazing to me too). These two people are my entire life. I am thankful we are together for eternity. There is nothing in life or death that can tear us apart. Our bond is forever. How amazing is that?

So...Carter got a handful of toys for Christmas, all things he thought he wanted. Turns out...all he really wanted was the Play-Doh set I got at Kroger a few days after Christmas. He played with that in all his free minutes every day after I got it. (I put it away for a while or I am sure he would still be playing with it. I wish I would have purchased the other play-doh set that was on clearance at the same time. Those sets are expensive when normally priced.

I love Beauty and the Beast. I am glad you made it through! We need to go again soon with our two boys.

I am glad you like your little family. That would suck if you didn't:)

And...I realize I often forget to put the other parentheses at the end of my side thoughts. )
