Atrion's Date Night

I woke up this morning feeling so tired. I could barely keep my eyes open. I still have the head cold and I guess my body was just trying to fight it off. At about 10:00 am my wonderful son started acting crazy. He was probably going stir crazy being quarantined and all. I was too tired to do much so Cody said I should go rest up for about an hour and then I could take over after that.

Well....four hours later I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I probably would still be asleep if Cody hadn't gently nudged me awake. I got dressed and decided it was time for a date with my son. Colds or no colds.

So we headed to the mall where there are bound to be other desperate parents toting their sick kids around. And there was!
First, we stopped at the Build-A-Bear Workshop and Atrion made his new best friend, Hobbes.

If you have $50.00 bucks or so to spare, you should definitely do this for your kid. They get to pick out their animal, stuff it, put a heart in it (not an actual, scientific heart...this isn't Frankenstein. Think Valentine's Day), give it an air bath and brush it's fur. Then I let Atrion shop for clothes for the little guy, because you can't have a naked tiger running around. He picked out a red polo shirt, white Joe Boxer underwear, some rad shoes and sunglasses as well as some felt cupcakes. I picked out the pants, because, well there isn't anything worse than a naked tiger, except a tiger that looks drunk. Promptly after receiving his wonderful new best friend, Atrion decided he wanted a penguin, and a ball, and a smurf instead. Aww, to be two again.

After I dragged my child and his new toy from the store feeling rather embarrassed, we nudged our way into the crowded play place and I let him loose. I forgot to bring my camera. Darn. I wish I wouldn't have forgotten because Atrion turned his cute and sweet on. He took off Hobbes's shoes and then taught him how to go down the slide without being scared. They jumped off the giant pig together and crawled through the tunnels. There has never been a happier toy in all existence.
After that, he was pretty wiped. So I hurried into Forever 21, bought the first 3 things that looked cute and we headed home. Hopefully he is in a better mood tomorrow, because he was a pretty expensive date.

I LOVE Hobbe's shoes! He looks like a really cool tiger. I love Build-A-Bear and actually want to make one for myself:)

I want to see what you got from Forever 21.

I have always wanted to take my kids to a Build a Bear Workshop. I need to find the closest one to Pocatello and just go. Atrion did a great job picking out Hobbes' accessories!
