And BBQ pork nachos from Central BBQ. Holy crud, these were awesome. I ate too much of it.
On the plus side, I have not gotten donuts or cupcakes all week. I did get a hot chocolate at the zoo....twice. It was so good. It had caramel and whipped cream. Mmm....
My name is Casey, and I am a food addict.
Subject changer: Aren't these boots cute? They were $15.00 bucks at Amazon. 70% off. Nice.
I got this little cutie for the same price at the high-markup zoo gift shop:
Cody says it was a waste, but I love little things like this that mostly no one else has (because who else would pay $14.99 for THAT, I mean c'mon!). Same thing with my previously mentioned keychain, and little Lego guys.
Time for the mundane:
Last night, our neighbors were up laughing and giggling until 3 in the morning when Cody pounded on our shared wall. They immediately stopped. "Oh good" we thought, "We can still get in 4 hours of solid sleep." Well, WRONG! You see, since Atrion was in the womb, he has had this uncanny ability to sense when his parents are sleep deprived and use those moments to wake up 5 or 6 times in the night or, in this case, 5:45 AM with a pee-soaked bed and pajamas ready to start the day. Blurgens.
Cody had a meeting at 8:30. He got ready and went. I laid in bed for a long time snoozing while Atrion colored all over himself with markers and watched a show (or two). I did feed him breakfast and change his sheets and clothes and even rocked him for a bit which was nice. But I just couldn't go any farther without some rest.
But, after I woke up and realized the house was ransacked by a toddler, I went into cleaning Casey mode. This is my favorite because in this mode, I LOVE to clean. I did dishes, washed and folded three loads of laundry, changed our bed sheets, picked up toys (and crayons, and cheese wrappers, and shoes, and socks) from all over the house, swept the floor, removed all couch cushions and vacuumed the gross underbelly where all the crumbs go to live, dusted, and scrubbed the counter tops and tabletop. All in about an hour. I fed Atrion and tucked him in for a nap. Then Cody was home and I showered. It was amazing.
We lazed about all day. Atrion never did fall asleep, so we did some finger painting instead.
Then I ordered Las Delicias for dinner and got a couple of redbox movies. Atrion had a long bath and was sent to bed with his belly full of quesadilla and soap bubbles. Cody and I played a few rounds of League of Legends and I did homework and watched 50/50 which swears too much. Now I am going to go lay in bed and read. My neck hurts and my back hurts, and my right hip especially hurts. So I will alternate heat and ice every twenty minutes. If that isn't mundane enough for you, I could go on....but I am bored, so I won't.
