I got up with Atrion this morning so Cody could sleep in. Then we traded off at about 10:00 and I got to take a two hour nap. Atrion played with some toys he got from his Grammy for Valentine's Day. There are Wikki Stix, cupcake and kisses window clings, Toy Story Valentine's cards, veggie magnets, some pants, a sticker book and a Toy Story Poster! What a nice Grammy!
After that,we got dressed and journeyed to Barnes & Noble to spend my 20% discount. The kids sections has a neat Thomas the Train display complete with the railways and little trains for the kids to play with. Atrion was in heaven.
We looked around for a bit and Cody found a great book about a boy and his dragon. I left it in Atrion's room and he is sleeping, otherwise I would know the title. I also got a hot chocolate and we all split a huge chocolate chunk cookie. Fantastic!
Atrion looks so cute when he falls asleep in the car. His little lips poke out in a frownie face. I just want to munch on him.
After we got home and got settled in, I made some cupcakes. After all our trips to the bakery for a cupcake or two every week, I decided it is time for me to make my own. So I decided that I would first try to perfect the frosting recipe first and then focus on the cake. So I used a chocolate cake mix this time and worked on the frosting. I used the recipe found here and added fresh raspberries to it. It has a lightness like whipped cream and a soft sweetness. The raspberries were a perfect touch, if I say so myself.
I have also been taking pictures like a mad woman using my iPad. I am pretty sure everyone on Facebook and Instagram will get very bored very fast.
In other news, I haven't lost weight in 2 weeks. Surprise!! You might be inclined to blame the cupcakes and donuts and cookies, but I actually think it's the diet soda. I became addicted to diet soda after allowing myself to drink it instead of regular soda. Before that I was losing 2 lbs a week. I think there is a strong link between diet soda and craving carbs and junk food. I feel more hungry on the days I drink the soda and so I probably eat more too. I haven't gained any weight back, but I haven't lost any either.
So, my new resolution for next week is to cut down to one soda a day, every other day if possible. I still got a ways to go to get down to 125.

I'm so excited that you're on Instagram...no one else that I know is really doing it, so it's fun to see your pics on there! I'm also looking for a good frosting recipe so I'm going to check out yours now.
