A Little of This and a Little of That

Does this month seem extraordinarily long to anybody else? I thought the same thing last year, but I was in my 9th month of pregnancy so I just attributed it to that. However, this month still seems long.
Here's a re-cap of what we've been up to.
My mom held a yard sale at her house in Twin on the 11th and 12th, and we loaded up some stuff to sell there as well. We are sort of tech-heads who have accumulated a lot of electronics such as a PSP, PS2, a TV, and surround sound system that we weren't using. So we thought we'd give the yard sale a whirl and see if we could get back a little return on our investments. Turns out, there is nothing like trying to sell your stuff to make you realize how worthless this stuff really is. Nobody wants to pay you even half of what its worth but since its not in use, shouldn't you take the highest bid even if it's not close to what you want to get out of it? That's not always easy. It's a good lesson though, for us to think about our purchases and maybe invest our money a little more wisely. We did end up selling some stuff and got some money back, but a lot of the things are still at my parents house. Not in use there, either.

On the 18th, Atrion had his first dentist appointment. He has 6 teeth (which are razor sharp, by the way), and they look great. He really loved visiting the dentist and getting a new toothbrush out of the deal.

On the following Tuesday, Cody and I had our dentist appointments as well. I have one cavity, although that word was never mentioned which was strange. I also have a filling that chipped away from my last dentist appointment that they have to repair. Cody, thankfully, has no cavities. I may end up having to get a splint to wear at night so that my jaw relaxes for at least 8 hours a day. My TMJ is not so severe at this point but I can feel it getting worse. It would be nice to not be in pain all day long, everyday.

This week I started my Algebra and Economics class. It is very intimidating because those are the subjects I am worse at. I'm going to try harder to focus though. Wish me luck!

I am so far loving this summer! The weather has been gorgeous, if a little on the hot side. They do the lunch in the park Monday through Friday in the park right out my back door. I have only been once, but I plan to go again.

I also have started working out with some ladies in my ward. They have been doing P90X 3 times a week since November. They meet at the church in the evening, which is great since Atrion is usually in bed by then and Cody can look after him easier. I've gone twice and am so sore that I can barely move. It's great though, because I need the extra support and motivation to keep it up. I can't do P90X, or any video workout, by myself for very long. It's just boring.

Today I went to church by myself because it was such a rough night with Atrion. He wouldn't go to bed until late and then woke up really early. He fell asleep for a nap right when we needed to be leaving, so I just went by myself. That is the easiest thing in the world. I remember grumbling about trying to make it to church before I had Atrion, and I wish I could go back in time and give myself a good talking to! I went to all three classes and even participated since I was able to listen and follow along. The sad thing is that I had to be introduced in both Sunday school and Relief Society because no one knows who I am. I don't blame them at all, since I'm the one that hasn't been going to all my classes and getting aqcuainted with anyone. Just trying to make it through Sacrament meeting is a giant task that takes all of my energy. As easy as it was to attend church by myself, though, there was a gaping hole where my family should have been. I'm going to make a renewed effort to get everyone up and ready for church and there on time so we aren't stuck in the back or out in the foyer the whole time.

I wish I had pictures to post, but alas, I do not.

There will be more though, since Atrion's birthday is coming up and we are doing a combined 4th party and Atrion's 1st birthday party. I love fireworks and birthday cake so this will be awesome!
