How did your mother spend her day?

My mom is also a really hard worker. My first memories involve me going back and forth with my mom from Twin Falls to Pocatello so she could get her degree and start teaching. I was the only child to go with her because I was too young for school. Instead, I got to go to a wonderful preschool and make a new friend, Jillian, and eat jello jigglers and watch cartoons all day long. Meahwhile, my resentful siblings remember eating burnt creamed corn and getting sent to bed while it was still light outside.
I also remember my mom working dreadful hours at a gas station, but in my head it was great because she could go in the beverage cooler and behind the cash register counter. My sister and I would play "Guess the Prices" when we went to visit her. We would find two items and had to guess which was higher or lower. Sort of like Price is Right.
Once my mom started substitute teaching, I noticed she became a lot happier. Then she got a permanent job as an 8th grade History teacher. She has one grants to continue on for her Master's Degree. One was really prestigious. I am so proud of her for making sacrifices to continue her education and set a great example for me. She always taught me to be my own person, go to church, and get an education. These three lessons are priceless and are still what drive me to do good today. I love my mom!
