Here's to an amazing day!

Yesterday was an awesomely busy day! When Atrion and I woke up we got dressed and decided it was a day for adventure. First we stopped at Target, because that's where every great adventure begins.
I had a mini shopping spree consisting of bathroom decorations, organizational shelves, and a rug. Also, Atrion got Woody to go with Buzz. (Yes, he has been pretty spoiled).

After we loaded up our goods into the car, we did a quick errand and then headed to a new park I found close by. It's right next to the huge, nice library (which doesn't open until 10:00!?!?!, so I thought Atrion could play for a bit and then we would go get some books. Atrion was so excited to play at the park.

You see that slide in front there? The one that looks fun and inviting to a young boy of just 2? Yeah, that slide ruined our plans. Turns out, it rained a few nights ago and this slide sneakily holds a gallon of water at the bottom of it so that whoever unwittingly slides down will be immediately soaked and cold. Poor Atrion. He was torn between wanting to play some more and the fact that he was suddenly, inexplicably drenched. I had to rush him back to the car and get him out of his wet clothes and wrapped in a warm blanket. He still has remnants of the cold we suffered from for two weeks and I was not taking chances. We were at the park a total of 5 minutes. Needless to say, Atrion was devastated. I let him lament on the ride home. Woody was a great comfort.
When we got home and got Atrion settled down, I started in on a rather huge task. I reorganized Atrion's room, the back room, the bathroom, and my room. It took all day. It was fun. I enjoyed every minute of it, no joke.
Here are some before and after shots. Keep in mind that I am not an interior designer by any means so it isn't going to look like a magazine (Oh, how I wish, but I am definitely happy about it.

I love the white rugs. I think it brightens and freshens up the bathroom. Cody wasn't thrilled, but I think he'll come around. I am not going to miss the brown on brown that's for sure.

This is my favorite. We decided to just make the back room a play room for Atrion. We took out all the toys from his room and moved them in to the back room. He tends to not go to sleep or take a nap because he is too busy playing. He actually took a nap yesterday! It worked! And the back room is much more inviting and fun. In case you are wondering, those blue totes are filled with dvd cases and cd cases that we threw away. I got a 300 slot binder to keep them all in so now they take up 5x less room.
The white desk got moved into my bedroom.

I got rid of the bookshelf and that other shelf thingie. All my books are relocated to a shelf in my closet. The bookshelf, Atrion's clothes dresser, and numerous other objects are going to make their way to Goodwill sometime today. It feels so much better to me. The next thing I need to do is to reorganize the kitchen but that is such a huge task. It will have to wait while I recuperate.
While I was working, I was thinking how good chinese food sounded but I never said anything. Then Cody says "Dinner's Ready" and I come out to this:

Homemade General Tso's chicken. It was AMAZING!!!! So delicious. Cody is just awesome. I love him.
After I ate dinner I spent 3 hours doing homework and watching The Bachelor. Then headed to bed. I probably should do better at my schooling. I just lost motivation for it for a bit but now I am more energized and can dedicate my mind to it.
See? What an awesome day. Today will be good too!

Good job!! The bathroom looks a lot brighter and fresher! You didn't post Atrion's room...is it just bare now? haha. I am glad you are embracing where you live now...and maybe you will settle in for a while:)

See you in a minute!

What IS the deal with library's opening at 10:00. In my world they all open at 8:00. Lazy!
